Fleet Feet Sports Now Open at DC Ranch Crossing!

Fleet Feet owner Linda des Groseilliers shares her vision for DC Ranch’s newest retail concept:

Q: Welcome to the neighborhood, Linda! What inspired your decision to locate in DC Ranch Crossing?

A: DC Ranch is dear to me. When I first moved to the Valley, I had the opportunity to be an owner in a company that framed many of the homes there. The master plan of the community was thoughtfully and beautifully designed. DC Ranch Crossing provides a welcoming and close-knit feeling. As I vetted locations around the Valley, this center met every criteria. The active lifestyle of the residents, the beautiful vistas for running, the proximity to The Gateway trailhead and the synergy of the center made it my first and only choice.

Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself, and why you chose this career path?

A: I’ve had many interesting opportunities in life, but the common thread throughout my career is simply that I am happiest when I am helping people. As a retailer for a large international Performance Apparel and Footwear brand, I was missing out on the personalized interaction that creates a truly satisfying experience for the customers. When a resident can buy local and have that same familiar group of faces helping them time after time, it fosters the community experience that DC Ranch was built upon. I wanted to ditch the corporate lifestyle and get people moving, one foot at a time.

Q: Fleet Feet Sports’ motto is ‘more than a shoe store’. Can you elaborate?

A: There are many choices when it comes to buying a pair of shoes. What my store offers is a personalized process to outfit a customer for success. Whether walker or runner, beginner or veteran, we are committed to being a resource for all things fitness. Nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, technology: all these things, delivered by carefully listening to each customer’s needs, makes us so much more than a shoe store.

Q: Fleet Feet Sports has a unique FITLOSOPHY. Can you explain?

A: The fit process is an interactive experience for the customer. We will, with your permission, patiently listen to your needs. Through observation, careful measurements and our knowledge of footwear and products, we will guide you to a recommendation for the perfect fit. It doesn’t stop with just a pair of shoes. We are there as a continuing resource and a gathering place for the customer.

Q: What are the recognizable brands and types of gear we will find in your store?

A: For footwear, we will be carrying only the top brands, including Nike, Brooks, Asics, Hoka, Saucony, Mizuno and New Balance, to name a few. For apparel, we will feature those top brands with special collections from Lucy and more. For our bra fitting service, we will have Moving Comfort and Enell. And a must-have for the Arizona climate is Nathan Hydration, a leader in the category.
