Lush Burger’s New Owners Take it to the Next Level

In Britain, ‘lush’ refers to something that’s pleasing, desirable, or attractive. Now under new ownership, Lush Burger in DC Ranch Crossing is undergoing changes designed to keep those accolades rolling.
“My wife Michelle and I are excited to be a part of the DC Ranch restaurant scene, and feel our improvements will be very well received.” former Rhode Islander & restauranteur Jay Hoff said. “We intend to keep the character of Lush Burger intact, while creating a more community- based family-friendly gathering spot that plays off the existing food options with fresh new selections. My wife likes to call it healthy-indulgent!”
The menu is being updated with more burgers, (Jay’s true love), a host of contemporary salads, entrée-driven special plates, an improved children’s menu and seasonal selections, including seafood and soups. Since taking over, they’ve completed a kitchen expansion, with upgrades to the dining and patio areas underway. Even more, a new Sunday brunch will be introduced in early May, with a completely new bar program and Happy Hour to follow.
“Since taking ownership, we’ve spent a lot of time listening to our DC Ranch customers. We feel it is mission critical to meet and exceed those expectations,” Hoff said. “This is our life, and our livelihood. It’s not a hobby or something we are dabbling in. We’ve been doing this for 30 years and take our customers’ expectations very seriously.”
With The Hoff’s track record of success in the restaurant business, the new Lush is destined to be next level.
